Welcome to the first issue of 2014. The coast seems to be a hive of activity gearing up for the new season and there is an air of positivity at last for this year, so we have lots to share with you once again in this issue.
Positively Pink and Positively Blue have already commenced their free screening programmes for 2014 with more screenings available for both men and women thanks to the generosity to the charities in 2013. Please see page 19 for further details and ways in which you can help the charities in 2014 for them to continue with the scheme in future years.
Well, BBC has now gone from Spain with other channels to follow. On page 31 you will find some useful information on how to still view these channels via the internet.
As the 2014 motor sport season is about to commence, we are pleased to bring you the first of our Formula 1 reports this year, which we hope you will enjoy. This on page 36 in our motoring section, with the calendar of both F1 and Moto GP for this issue on the following page.
We have also introduced a new entertainment section from pages 74-77 with classified listings of some of the entertainers and venues available on the coast as well as details of some exciting, forthcoming events including the Pink Floyd Tribute at the Salon Varietes and the Derek Acorah event at the Beatriz Palace Hotel – enjoy!
Last, but by no means least is our Restaurant Guide which starts on page 50. Plenty of new ones again for you to try and don’t forget to book early for the ever-popular, annual Grand National extravaganza at El Oceano Hotel, Miraflores Playa, details on page 59.
See you again in April!
