Welcome to the April issue of Key to Mijas Costa. Still a bit murky outside for the time of year as I was writing this and also Easter, coming early, was a bit quiet. However, businesses are now gearing up for the peak season and as well as airlines putting on more flights to Malaga for the summer months, it looks as though La Cala is now becoming very trendy and the preferred place to settle on the Costa del Sol and is this issue we have plenty for you to do in La Cala and the surrounding areas.
It is that time of year to shake off all the winter excesses, including nasty viruses that have plagued us this winter. On page 17 Dr Robert Zawislak of Your Doctor at Home shares his vast experience and passion of more than 30 years treating the body and mind of his clients by both traditional and homeopathic means. On page 19 Jon Stark explains how you can get your body ready for the summer season (as well as saving a few cents) by learning how to cook healthy, vegetarian options at home.
Key Events are on page 26 in this issue and include the annual Feria Internacional de los Pueblos, Art Exhibitions and charity events including 2 Cudeca Goldies events in May, one to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday and the other a great musical event at El Oceano Hotel featuring Columbia University’s all male a cappella group “The Kingsmen” making their debut appearance at the Hotel.
On a different note, on page 41 you will find some interesting information regarding Fire Protection in the community provided by www.costahelp.com.
Last, but by no means least, the Restaurant Guide is from pages 52 to 67 in this issue.
See you again in the summer.
