Welcome to the first summer issue of Key to Mijas Costa. Our Front Cover depicts the new Coastal Pathway as it wends its way through Calahonda. This photograph was sent to us by one of our readers, Luis Morales, who works at Le Bistrot Suisse on the Avda de España in Calahonda. A very suitable photograph for this time of year. Congratulations to Luis who wins a night’s stay plus breakfast at the Tamisa Golf Hotel.
Plenty for you go get your teeth into in this issue. On page 9 you will find how you can sell some of your unwanted items on the new Sell to Donate Facebook page while at the same time donating 10% of the proceeds to the charity AMUSAVIG which helps women survivors of domestic violence and their children begin a new life.
On a completely different note, on page 11 there is information on an innovative idea on how the ladies can still wear their favourite heels without ruining them, even if they are attending an outdoor event on grass or sand. This product was originally showcased on the BBC programme, the Dragon’s Den, in the UK and has been brought over to the Costa del Sol by one of our enterprising ladies from Mijas Costa!
The Restaurant Guide and Reviews begins on page 46 and there are plenty of new ones for you to try and enjoy in this issue.
We also hope you enjoy the recipe provided by Mr Singh of Little India in Calahonda which you will find on page 60.
Details of “The Hot Summer Nights” series of shows that will take place at the Mijas Auditorium throughout the summer are featured on page 64 with a competition to win 2 tickets for one of the 3 shows taking place in August on page 65 for the first 3 correct entries. Good luck and see you all again in August!
