Well, summer has arrived at last after a very wet and cold winter. In this issue as well as our usual competitions, we have introduced a special one for this early summer issue of the magazine. See page 7 for further details – you are in for a treat! We are also starting to put together “Key Ladies Pages” for details of where the girls can have some fun, which you can find in this issue on page 10. We intend to expand this in future issues because you probably feel, as we do, that we do not normally hear about what is going on until after the event! You can also help us to compile this by telling us of any events that you know of, so that we can include those too.
The Foreigners' Department and the Town Hall in Mijas work together to put on events throughout the year and in this issue on page 23 you will find details of the diverse entertainment on offer including Flamenco, Guided Walks, Music, Dance and Cinema and of course the colourful ferias in Las Lagunas and La Cala.
We are not purely a magazine full of adverts. We also try to bring you a balance of diverse editorials and matters of interest across the spectrum. I was fortunate to meet a senior member of CADE Marbella, the Marbella Business Support Centre at a recent B2B networking meeting and they agreed to collaborate with Key to Mijas Costa and inform us of what support they can give to the ex-pat
business community. Please see page 50 for more information. I had no idea that such help was at hand and found their staff to be extremely approachable and helpful.
Finally, we are delighted to advise you that our print shop, Missprint, in the Euromarket, Mijas Costa is now open for business. Please see adverts dotted around this issue of the magazine for some of the things we can do to promote your business. We can print on anything!
Here's looking forward to a busy start to the season and see you again in August.
